Medical Assistance

Hello there. My name is Peter and I'm from Kenya.

Up until late last year, I worked with Hyatt Hotels and was based in Oman but unfortunately lost my job following the pandemic and had to uproot my entire life and family and relocate back to Kenya. It’s been an uphill climb trying to stay afloat and start over although that’s not the worst of it.

About a month or so ago, my daughter got admitted into hospital with what doctors have described as a severe case of Malaria which has continued to ravage her immune system. She's spent alot of time in and out of the ICU due to severe pain and dehydration since she isn’t eating normally as she's throwing up and has had to be intubated severally due to her breath being shallow and difficulty in breathing.

My wife and I have been trying to reach out to friends and acquaintances for assistance to get her the help that she so desperately needs as well as offset the ballooning medical bill which has totally depleted whatever savings we had.

We have been overwhelmed with the whole move back home as well as the search for employment in Kenya which is extremely difficult to come by but this latest bad luck has really drained any energy and hope that we had. My daughter is now a shadow of her former self. We really need your prayers support and any positive thoughts you can send our way as we navigate through this difficult time.

As of this morning (October 14th) the medical bill is upto KES 284,635.23 and pilling up daily. I know everyone has more than they can handle and It’s really difficult reaching out like this and I'm deeply ashamed and embarrassed but it’s my daughter’s life on the line and I seriously don’t have a choice anymore. I’m extremely sorry for doing this but all we need is a little help and even the tiniest amount will go a very long way…
