McLean Family Reunion

This year my father turns 80. For his birthday my mother is arranging a trip to Canada to visit some of her cousins. Late last year while doing genealogy I found for dad some previously unknown first cousins who live in New Hampshire, USA. When I asked mum if they would also travel there so that dad could meet his new found cousins she said no - they could not afford the extra cost.

My sisters and I would love to be able to give them the extra money so that Dad could meet this new part of his family but may not be able to raise enough - hence this fundraiser.

Dad's paternal grandparents were not married. The family stories said that his Grandfather went to America not long after Dad's father was born but no-one knew what happened to him after that. Through my research I found that in fact he went to Canada, married and returned to Scotland, had two children there, joined WW2 and then immigrated with his family to the USA finally settling in New Hampshire. He had four children with his wife - the youngest son being given the same name as Dad's father (the older half brother). This youngest son then had 6 children of his own, all living and all my dad's newly found cousins. 

We were able to contact one of the cousins just prior to Christmas and they were all as excited as Dad to find new family members. 

A family reunion while Dad is still able to travel would be amazing. We hope you can help.
