McCrae Dowless Political Defense Fund

Have you ever been falsely accused? Have you ever been the victim of a political witch hunt? Has somebody ever tried to make you a scapegoat? If so, please read my story.

My name is McCrae Dowless, and I have been in the news lately due to me working on the election for Mark Harris, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 9^th District of North Carolina.The liberal democrats are attempting to crucify me for helping a republican candidate and have portrayed me in an untrue light. I am a simple man and live in a 1,000 square foot house that is not even payed for. I am 63 years of age, and I receive Social Security. I had to attend a hearing this week at the N.C. Board of Elections, and it is clear that I am being portrayed in a negative light, and they are making it look like I got a lot of money, but that is not true. My salary barely covered my gas and expenses and the majority of the money was paid to other people working for the campaign.

I had to hire a lawyer to go with me to the hearing in Raleigh recently and had to travel there and get a motel room. My lawyer covered the hearing which lasted much longer than expected, so the bill has been quite expensive. Yesterday, February 27, I was arrested on (7) felony charges and have had to post a $30,000.00 bond. The charges against me are all related to election fraud and are not true. I am sure I am going to have many more legal battles to face. I have also been told I may have to go to Washington D.C.to answer questions from the democrats.

Everybody keeps trying to villify me because I got in some criminal trouble over 20 years ago. We all have a past. I changed my life and felt like politics would be a way to make a difference.7 years ago, another major event happened in my life when I suffered a massive heart attack. Between Duke Hospital and the good Lord, my life was spared. I realized how precious life is and vowed to myself to strive to live a much better life.I guess I am now being tested with the unfair accusations against me all because the right candidate didn’t win. That is what this is all about. I do not believe I will be treated fairly. There was one witness who said I did wrong, and the Board subpoenaed over 80 more witnesses, many who would have refuted that witness, but the Board is not allowing them to testify. The democratic chairman of the democratic controlled board even told my attorney right in from of the entire room that there would be no immunity, PARTICULARLY not for McCrae Dowless so that shows right there they are not treating me fairly. It is also clear that this chairman has been biased in favor of attorney Mark Elias, known as the attorney that the Democrats call when they get into trouble, and also the attorney of Hillary Clinton. He is also said to be the go between connection against President Donald Trump in the Russian collusion as well as other things against Trump. I do not have the kind of money that will be needed to defend myself from people like this.

I have been successful in helping political candidates in the past, but there are certain groups out there who do not want me to be able to continue to help certain candidates. I have been helping candidates for in excess of 20 years, and there has never been a problem as long as “their candidate” won. Now that I have been successful in helping Mark Harris, suddenly it is now a problem.

I know I have not always been a perfect person but I was raised in a small county by loving parents who taught me respect and to always treat other people with kindness. I may not have a lot of formal education but I learned early in life to treat people with kindness and to honor and obey my parents .Please help me.
