Maynerd

Maynerd is our 7 year old Bloodhound.  We rescued him 3 years ago.  As soon as I saw him, i knew he needed to be a part of our family.  Unfortunatly for him, he has had a bad ear infection since before we rescued him. 

The past 3 years have been a frusterating and expensive struggle to get his ears healthy.  If you have ever owned any kind of floppy ear dog, you know how bad their ears can get, and how difficult it is to heal them.  I feel so bad for Maynerd, im sure he is in constant pain.  He often cries when i clean his ears. Just when I think we finally healed his ears, they get bad again!

At every vet visit, it ends up costing us at least $250.  He should be seen by a vet, and given meds more often then I can afford.  Sometimes he needs to go to the vets office at least once a month, and sometimes, twice a month. We can not keep paying for all these vet visits, and all the needed medication. 

I have always taught my kids that if you adopt or rescue a pet, that your home would now be their forever home.  If this fundraiser doesnt work, then I am afraid I will have to start looking for a new home for him. We love him dearly, and dont want to lose him.
