Maya’s cancer treatment

Hello everyone,

I’m here to raise money for my dog’s cancer treatment. Her name is Maya, she’s a 9 year-old West Siberian laika, and the most beautiful and loyal girl I’ve ever met. She’s friends with absolutely everyone she meets, and that’s what we love the most about her. She’s not a puppy anymore, but up until she was diagnosed with cancer, she loved going hiking with us and would never say no to playing with two of our other dogs.
So when we saw that Maya’s energy has faided and she prefers being alone, we immediately realized something’s wrong. We took her to the vet, and she said she has an infection on both sides of the uterus. Which was odd for us, cause earlier we had noticed Maya letting out a cry when one of our other dogs touched her neck by accident. We told the vet to take a look at it, they did tons of tests I can’t even name in english, but never discovered anything in her neck.
Maya had to stay there for a few days till she felt strong enough to come home, so we can continue taking care of her here. We had to give her a lot of pills and other forms of medicine, but she was feeling better again and I was happy everything was working.
We had to take her for a check-up a week later. That’s when they discovered the tumors on her neck. Fortunately they weren’t harmful and the vet said we can get rid of them by giving Maya more meds.
So Maya got back home and we continued with all the medicine. But her condition got worse and worse, so when we went for another check-up, the vet told us Maya has cancer, and it has spread so far and wide in her neck, that there’s a 1% chance she’ll survive the surgery, since she’s so weak.
Obviously I have no idea how they didn’t discover it earlier, and I have never been so disappointed with anyone else in my entire life, but I’m working really hard on trying to get Maya to feel better. I bought this book about dogs with cancer and how to do your best to treat it, and there are so many different ways to help my little girl, but they’re a little expensive, especially since the vet bills were not cheap and I put all my money there, I have no savings left. If I could get my baby to feel strong enough to survive the operation, I would be beyond thankful to each and every one of you, and so would Maya.
