My name is Justin Kim and I am currently a Sophomore at Loyola University Chicago studying Music with a Japanese minor. (Pre-Medical Track)
I am volunteering to go on a Public Health Brigade located in the Honduras in conjunction with Loyola University's Global Brigade. However, in order to do so I would like to request your assistance! The costs are very high in order for me to travel to the Honduras. I require a plane ticket in addition to purchasing materials that will be used for various constructions within the local community. If you can at least donate a $1.00 to the fundraiser it would be greatly appreciated!
Information in regards to the nature of trip are provided below in addition to the link that will redirect you towards the fundraising page.
Our group will spend a total of 7 days in the Honduras providing better infrastructure, health education services, and prevention techniques of known diseases. By coordinating with the Basic Sanitation Committee, we are attempting to improve the lives of local individuals through projects that will entail concerns for public health and environment.
The purpose of such activities is to empower the community by means of introductory education towards public health challenges. This, in addition to all the other Brigades such as dental, medical, law, etc. will serve to promote a self-sustainable community.
Once again, thank you for your donations, time, and concern.
