Campaign Story
Maxi, my daughter's therapy cat has broken his leg quite badly and needs surgery in order to save it. My daughter is 9 years old and suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy, generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. We got Maxi as a kitten two years ago and he is her constant companion, even playing fetch with her in the garden. She is desperate for us to save his leg but surgery will cost between R7000 and R10 000 which we just don't have right now. Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Home again
Update posted by Rachael Farwell at 10:35 amI fetched Maxi from hospital yesterday and he is now confined to a cage at home while he heals. We have made one installment on the vet's bill and will be able to make another one next week thanks to the amazing donations we have received. We are so grateful,
Surgery
Update posted by Rachael Farwell at 05:22 pmMaxi's surgery today went extremely well. Despite finding that his ankle was also broken, the vet was able to pin the joint together and restore full movement. We will be collecting him tomorrow.
