Help Matthew Become a Chemical Engineer

Hi everyone,

My name is Matthew Rose, I am 19 years old and I've just finished my first year after applying for medicine. However, I realised that my passion and abilities lay more so in Chemical Engineering.

When I was a little boy, I always have had an interest in becoming a scientist. I remember sitting with my grandmother, drawing a conical flask from one of the chemistry shows that we used to watch on Tv whenever I visited her and would say that I wanted to be a scientist. That memory has stuck with me to this very day. My reasons for wanting to do medicine and then switching to chemical engineering is merely because I can do so much good with both degrees but, due to my mathematical and scientific background, engineering seems to suit my skill set much better. In 2019, I plan to join engineers without borders, who do amazing selfless work in many impoverished countries. This is my biggest dream in life: to go and help people who aren't always able to help themselves. I want to be able to be that person that can help those who are in need with the knowledge I obtain from my degree. To shine a light and give back to the community.

My studies have thus far been funded very generously by external family. However, unfortunately this was a temporary financial plan as my parents could not afford my tuition due to sudden financial difficulties. I've applied for various part-time jobs to start saving for my tuition for 2019. However, I realize that due to the extent of my financial situation, this alone will be insufficient to fund my tuition.

Therefore, I come to you as my last resort to help me raise funds for my tertiary education for the upcoming year. Kindly, I ask for your support in reaching my goal of being able to study and achieve my dreams in 2019.
