Matric Jackets for Next Year

Dear friends,

Next year we are grade 12 and will be needing matric jackets. As Ambassadors of our school, Global Leadership Academy*, we are responsible to gather the money from the rest of the grade 11s and fund any needed money. At the moment, because of financial difficulties many learners will not be buying the jacket. The Ambassadors do however desire all of the learners to have a chance to purchase and own a matric jacket and we are trying to take all possible steps to make this a reality.

When the matric class first saw the chosen jackets we immediately fell in love with the design and have since considered it as the best choice. The price was acceptable and affordable for the majority of the learners but due to the following reasons this has changed:

• Next year (2018) Global Leadership Academy will be transitioning to “E-learning” and the exact increase in school funds has only been communicated to the matric class after deciding on the garment.
• The learners will be required to provide their own laptops/tablets for next year which have to meet the certain specifications and regulations.
• The tuition fees for next year, which is usually paid over 12 months, will now have to be paid within 10 months because of the matric year ending earlier next year.
• And lastly, the fundraiser, a dance, which would have been held at the school has been postponed by the teachers because of marking and moderation meetings.

So there you have it. We would very much appreciate any financial contribution towards the funding of our jackets. And thanks for reading!

*Global Leadership Academy is a Non-Profit Organisation situated in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. The teachers are really awesome! They don't teach for money but rather for the children. As students at Global Leadership Academy we can really testify to that.
