Masters in Research Abroad (Central European in New Zealand)

Hello All,

I was offered a place in masters study at the most prestigious university in New Zealand - the University of Auckland. However, as a Central-East European I cannot afford it at the moment as the studies are too expensive for me. I really appreciate helping my dream to come true.

My previous tertiary education:

• Masters in Civil Engineering - Integral Safety of Structures
  (2017-2019)
  Czech Technical University in Prague
  Research and thesis: Study of a Blast Deflector
  (Nomination in a competition for best masters theses of the faculty)
  (Dean's Award for exceptionally well produced and defended Masters thesis)
• Bachelors in Civil Engineering - Fire Safety of Structures
  (2013-2017)
  Czech Technical University in Prague
  Bachelors thesis: Fire Design of an Apartment Building in Prague

My previous work in the field of study:

• Civil Structural Designer
  (since 2017)
  ELSA Consulting s.r.o. (Czech Republic)

The money raised would be used to cover the tuition fees only (NZD 40,000). All other fees (food, living, accommodation,.. ) would be funded from my personal reserves .

I have always wanted to leave something behind my work. After long time of thinking whether I should take the path of researcher or rather design buildings on my own, I have decided to improve and get further the civil engineering in general. I think that the development and research are the only thing which grants us sustainable future (balanced with the natural resources).

For those, who do not share the interest in me getting better educated, I can assure you I would be doing really important research in the field of natural materials used as a load-bearing elements of structures, timber in particular. So far tower buildings and skyscrapers have been built mainly of steel, production of which is tremendously environmentally unfriendly. The solution to this can be found in reinforcement of timber structures and in research on fire resistance of such structures. This is what I would like to focus on.
