Master’s Degree for a Future I dream

I want to get Master's Degree in Historical Sociology during which I plan to start my social project and make first aclivities. I was accepted to the study program in the Charles University, Prague, but need a funding to realize my dream project and move to Czech Pebublic. My further social project will concern redefining European Identity as well developing a method which can help people to make find out restricted beliefs and mindsets which generate undesirable behavior and emotions.

In my project work I want to raise a question concerning one of origins of European Union Crisis, crisis of European Identity, and offer an instrument which can help in solving and rethinking the concept of the Europeanness and European Identity, which is essential for reforming the European Union as supranational Union. That is why I want to figure out and define correlation between identity within a research topic of Defining European identity/identities and individual’s mentality.

I am dealing with and interested in the topic of individual’s Mentality as a phenomenon, its influence on people’s behavior, way of life, self-defining, because it help to understand, conceive the very bases of human sentient existence, real causes of conflicts in human systems, manage and understand social changes and make long-term forecasts in society. I consider European project as a unique and leading human supranational Union which should keep footing and leading development positions in the World Society.

I have an experience of social projects as a project manager, Russian and international, concerning this topic, also I hold workshops for international students and expats about Russian mentality, lead St-Petersburg Philosophical group for expats and Ru-En translation projects. Also I took a part as reporter on the Forum2000 in 2016.

What does Identity mean and what approaches to defining this phenomenon exist?

How does Identity evolve? How and why do people associate themselves with different social groups and communities? Methods and ways of expression and amplification of identity.

Correlations between Identity and Individual’s Mentality. Conscious selection of Identity. How individual’s mentality influence on defining of Identity.

What are specific features of supranational Identity in relation to other group identities and national identity in particular?

Historical processes factors which influenced to formation modern European values and principles.

How supranational Union of European Countries should be changed in a result of rethinking European Identity: what purposes and functions should it has.

How will the concept of Europeanness influence on economic, political, social and other types of relationships within Europeans and between Europeans and non-Europeans.
