Master degree to help people!

Hello everyone! My name is Susanna.

I come from a small town near Florence, in Italy. Here I spent a happy childhood, deep in museums, sculptures and walks within the Chianti’s hills. So it grew in me a sense of admiration, and I learned to enjoy the beauties of the world.

At the same time, however, I have been in contact with sad but very educational situations. My mother has always worked in a rehabilitation centre, in which everyday people devastated by diseases and accidents rely on doctors and physiotherapists to regain their motor skills and return to have a normal life.

This had an effect on me as a stimulus, an incentive to work hard and to help to change things.

I attended a degree course in Biology to thoroughly understand the working principles of our body: from the biggest process to the smallest mechanism that occur within the cells.

Now I have received an offer from University College London to attend a Master in Cell and Gene Therapy: a course to understand the cellular and genetic bases of diseases with the aim to act on them, correct them and bring back to good health many people.

For this reason today I entrust myself to your generosity to contribute to the master’s cost which amounts to a total of £12,000. Every donation, from the smallest one to the highest one, can make a difference.

For a better tomorrow, I promise I will put all my dedication into this educational path.
