Hello :)

Thank you for taking a minute to read about me and my situation.

I am an international student from India and I am a recent graduate from the New York School of Interior Design. I came to the U.S. on a student visa and was able to support my three-year graduate program with student loans from multiple banks.

In December of 2019 I had cracked my dream job as a Lighting Designer for CallisonRTKL in New York. It was everything I ever wanted and I swear to God, I went into 2020 feeling this was going to be my year!

As of today, I am unemployed because 4 months into my first official job out of school, I was let go because of the COVID-19 stress. My life has come to a screeching halt because everything I was looking forward to in my months and years ahead just shattered on me overnight. I am days away from losing my student status and I am required to return to India (Looking forward to just going home and being with my mom).

I am confident that I am not going to be able to make payments towards my excruciatingly sizable student loan amount for a few months till I am back in India and the job market stabilizes. I am therefore requesting your assistance with any contribution that you are able to make towards my student loan. I completely understand that this is a tough time for everybody but having your support at this time for me means that I will one day have the ability to take your kindness forward.

Thank you again for your time! Stay safe :)
