Masie’s Operation and Medication

My beautiful cat, Masie, I got from an animal shelter after she was abandoned at 4 weeks old. She is now 17 years old and still loving life. Two months ago, our vet found an abdominal lump which turned out to be a large cyst. After a hair-raising few days she fought heard and survived the surgery to remove it. She is now back home and well, going outdoors and nibbling my toes in the morning for her breakfast.

Unfortunately, she then suddenly lost a lot of weight and now needs medication every day to regulate her overactive thyroid. After the cost of the ultrasound, surgery and post-op medication is extremely pricey, especially as I picked up my studies again last October so I am not earning a wage.

I am determined to offer her the best quality of life that I can in her final years, but if I can’t then I will have to have her put down rather than let her suffer. Any help that you could give me, however small, will make a huge difference to us both. Thank you.
