All three of us are in desperate need of dental work. My mother Valerie has always put her 4 children first. She has not had the money to go to a dentist in a long time. She has 3 teeth that are literally "falling apart" as well as many cavities in dire need of attention. Tooth pain is a regular occurance for Valerie.

My boyfriend Martin has suffered from intense tooth pain for at least ten years.  Twelve of his teeth are worn down to the gumline and may be completly beyond repair. Martin has infections and absessed teeth at times. These absessed areas of his mouth can and have been vary dangerous for him. Absesses are poisonus if they burst and accidentally swallowed. Martin cannot afford the extensive work needed to keep his mouth healthy and free of infection.

Nine years ago I was on a dental plan from work and used my maximum amount of 3,000 dollars to do a complete overhaul of my teeth. All 4 wisdome teeth were extracted along with 2 teeth that were unsavable. Also I had 12 cavities filled and 3 root canall procedures. When the dentist was done I showed him that one of my moulers still had a hole in it. He responded that "It's supposed to look like that". Now that tooth is falling apart. The sharp end catches on my mouth and at times a lump forms from me accidently biting the inside of my mouth. On the right side of my mouth another tooth is falling apart and I cannot chew food for long on that side. If I do my whole right side, top and bottem becomes inflamed with pain. Somedays I just eat soup because the pain is so intense.

I don't think that 3,000 for each of us would fill every cavity but it would mean being pain free. All three of us worked at a fish processing plant that has been shut down three years ago. We are looking for full time work with dental coverage but no luck with that yet. Any donations to help us get into the dentist's chair would be greatfully appreciated from the heart. It's just something that we cannot put off and hope for a solution any longer. We need to get out of this painful, risky situation and back to smiling again. We don't have much to offer in the way of rewards but any donations of $100 or more I can email a thank you letter including a picture of us smiling with our new teeth after the procedures. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

 Sincerely,

Mary Verrall
