£304.00raised of £1,000.00 goal goal
In December 2014 Steve Waft and Rob Sinfield will be making the epic drive through France and Spain to get to Morocco. Once in Morocco we're taking part in the Maroc Challenge; 8 days driving through Morocco while camping in the desert and mountains! We will be covering around 6,000 miles in total! This is a Spanish organised charity event and over 100 vehicles are expected to attend.
The founders of the Maroc Challenge use our registration fees for the following amongst others:
1) Supply Merzouga schools with items such as stationary, games, clothes etc.
2) Support a third party organisation that helps local children with poor eyesight by providing eyesight tests and glasses.
3) A plot of land has been provided within Merzouga where the foundation are planning to build a mini hospital to aid the local population.
We want to take this a step further and we need your help. We will be passing by many remote villages on the way in Morocco where the standard of living is basic to say the least. We're planning on packing our Landrover full of books, sweets (not for Steve to eat!), clothes, games etc for the local residents.
We need approximately £1000 to fund the registration fee and stock up little gifts and necessities for the local communities. The more money you can donate, the more we can take and the more the people of rural Morocco will benefit.
Please like, share and view our Facebook page to see regular updates. Once we've completed our trip we'll post photos of some of the people and communities you've directly helped.
Thanks in advance for your help and support.
