Marko’s Memorial Fund

In this difficult time, my beautiful sisters, brother and I are coming together to make arrangements after our fathers passing. Although this journey is difficult to make, and was not expected to come so soon, we are blessed to have each-other on this roller coaster of emotions and in times of grief. All of us were the light of his life which is exactly why it feels most right to have us walk through this together, hand in hand, EVERY step of the way.

Our father was cared for by an amazing staff at an assisted living home he chose in Florida. Fortunately, he was very happy there and I know that he always felt safe and secure up until the last breathe he took. This also means that the four of us are going to be traveling from all across the country to pick up his remains and have his ceremony. I have never personally planned the loss of a loved one, and was not prepared for the high cost and expenses of basic necessities for this process.

But what is most important to me, is that the four of us do this side by side. There is no other way he would have wanted it. There is no other way that we want to do it, and I will do whatever it takes to raise money so that we can pay for not only costs of things like cremation, services, etc., but also tickets for us all to be together.

Any donation is appreciated, even if it seems like the smallest amount, we will be grateful. For that will bring us one step closer to the financial security that's necessary to make this all possible.

Costs include - cremation, tickets for all four of us round trip from Michigan and California (we actually have to do this twice to complete the pick up of remains and then his ceremony), hotels, car rental.
