Marjorie’s Vehicle Fund And Medical Expenses

I'm doing this without my girlfriend's knowledge. Let me start by telling you the "why" of the situation. My girlfriend isn't in the best of health because she has a condition called "Mycobacterium Avium Complex" ('MAC' for short) which is a result of her immunodeficiency and there is currently no cure. She drives to Anaheim about eight times a month (about 130 miles total) to go see her doctors, specialists, and a physical therapist. These doctors and specialists have monitored her condition for many years and know exactly what to do, what signs to look for, and what to listen for when her condition gets really bad.

She ended up in the hospital in December 2011 as a result of the MAC getting really bad. It got so bad in fact that she received a biopsy in February 2012 to remove a severely infected middle lobe in her right lung. She spent some time recovering from the surgery (longer than usual because of the immunodeficiency) and was doing fine until she relapsed in December 2012 making her yet again stay at a hospital for treatment. She missed a total of two Decembers and two Christmases with family because of the MAC. She gets asthma-like symptoms, she cannot run, she cannot walk long distances, she cannot work out, and because of all that she is physically weak. After they got the MAC under control she started getting check up after check up until it became a routine thing that continues to this day to make sure that it stays under control. She is scheduled for a CAT scan in late summer that will determine whether or not she requires another biopsy.

I've done the research and the one I found was the best option. I wish I could easily provide this for her but at this time it's not within my reach which is why I'm asking for a little help, not for my sake but for hers. Anything you can donate is very much appreciated. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue but she is about to lose her disability benefits so our income will not be as steady as it was before.
