Financial assistance for a surgery

Hi everyone! I am MARITES PUMICPIC OMALAY, 28 years old and a single mother, knocking your hearts to give time to read my story.

Five years ago after giving birth to my daughter, I was diagnosed with a RHD “Rheumatic Heart Disease”. I wasn’t surprised since I already feel chest discomfort. Since then, I had to undergo quarterly check up to my cardiologist in Cagayan de Oro city (CDO).

After a year, my condition got worsen. My doctor advised me to do the PTMC Procedure (Percutaneous Trans venous Mitral Commissurotomy),also known as percutaneous mitral balloon valvotomy. This is the procedure needed for patients with symptomatic severe mitral stenosis (MS). I haven’t yet undergone the said surgery since we don’t have enough money. I thought and strongly believed that I would be healed by simply avoiding stress but I was wrong and as the days go by, my condition got worsen.

Since last year 2020 until now, I am getting ill day by day. I experience chest pain, shortness of breathing and weakness. The doctor recommended me to do the surgery as soon as possible for open heart surgery “VALVE REPLACEMENT” because my 3 valves are at very high risk of having me a CARDIOEMBOLIC STROKE.

Any contribution coming from your generous hearts can help me save my life. Please help me raise funds for my upcoming surgery since our financial status couldn't afford its cost. The hospital where I need to be confined is far from my place so bigger expenses are expected.
