Mario Felipe Lehnhoff: Medical Expenses (coronary heart disease)
Dear friends and family,
Some are learning right now that on June 21 I began a rigorous check of my health and especially my heart since I have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease after five laboratory tests and medical hospitalization of catheterization and selective coronary angiography. I will be undergoing an open-heart hospitalized operation at the Medical Center Hospital, medically called coronary heart disease with three-vessel involvement. In which it will be necessary to place four bypasses in the heart.
At the moment medical expenses, operation, exams and medications are a burning me out of my reach to prevent me from becoming an economic burden especially for the support of my three children.
Thank God, work insurance covers a portion of hospital expenses. But unfortunately, I do not have insurance for post-operative recovery which needs a recovery of 1 to 2 months to be able to return to work properly.
I will try my best to rehabilitate myself as soon as possible and thus be able to return to work. In this way I can return to my work and support the most needed families in rural area in Guatemala (Central America), as for those who do not know me enough. I work in rural development supporting the most vulnerable and low-income families in the second poorest, poorest and most unequal country in America, Guatemala.
Thanks to all the family and friends for your support, I sincerely thank you with all my heart since with your poor help get ahead of this disease. I love you all and I will ask for your well-being.
Mario Felipe Lehnhoff
