Campaign Story
Brief
To whom it may concern
I Clive Wayne Grant am an RSA citizen who was in UK for 14 years. Whilst
there I got married to a UK citizen and we had 5 children.
In 2014 my wife became very ill & was diagnosed with brain cancer. I cared
for my wife during her long and eventually passed away in August of 2015.
I struggled to look after & support my children as a single parent, and
decided to move back to SA in 2016 where I could get some support from my
family.
In February of 2017 I found permanent employment on a farm based at Sudwala,
Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This meant that my mother would have to resign from
her job in Pretoria to come and look after my children full time, so that I
could be the bread winner, without distractions at work.
My mother has recently fallen and broken her hip, and desperately requires a
hip replacement. We currently don't have any medical aid insurance. There is
roughly a 6 month waiting list to be operated through the State hospital. My
mother is putting on a brave face and still driving children to & from
school whilst in absolute agony.
We require approximately R200 000.00 for her to have the surgery done
immediately through the private hospital, so that she can be relieved of the
excruciating pain & continue to assist me with looking after my children.
