Mariel & Eloa Date extended + Raffle and Surprise Art Give Away

UPDATE: I am so grateful to everyone who has donated. I am beyond happy to see Eloa. We are getting settled in together for the summer. I am a Happy Mama!

I am extending the date of the fundraiser, I will be pushing hard to meet the goal, and there will be a surprise Art give away at the end to the highest donation, which now stands at $500.00!! I will also be doing a smaller Art give away in the form of a Raffle. Everyone who has donated will already be in the hat, and you still have a chance to play until June 30 with no minimum donation.

It was my greatest fear as a mother, when I allowed my daughter, Eloa, to move to Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota with her father two years ago, that we would face a great global disaster during the time of our separation, and we did. Perhaps it was a mother's fear, or intuition, but either way here we are in the midst of perhaps some of the greatest global changes of the century, and we all know that change can be very hard and devastating. I am holding mighty visions for the future of our planet, and our children, but in the meantime I must be reunited with my daughter.

After an extended separation from Eloa, our plans for her visit during spring break were canceled due to COVID19 Quarantine, and we have not seen each other since September of 2019, when she went back to school last year. Even the face of a pandemic, and riots in the Twin Cities, it is urgent that I see my daughter. It has been one of the hardest things in my life to be apart from her at this critical, and scary time. I am planning on receiving my daughter back for summer break on June 15th, 2020.

I am asking for help after a long quarantine. I am a single mother, and I just moved to Denver, CO from Santa Fe, NM. I am an artist and a Muralist, I work with non-profit youth programs, and do private commissions when possible. I was looking forward to a vibrant, thriving economy as I moved out of my comfort zone to Colorado; and to be closer to Minnesota, making travel easier to see my daughter. The current events have greatly impacted my transition and my ability to work. Like many others all over the world, I have been unable to work during the span of the pandemic. It is still hard to find work in most of my fields of experience, or they put me at high exposure to the public. I am in a hard situation and I have no savings. I am asking for donations for help with basics like rent, food, travel expenses between Minneapolis and Denver, and basic needs.

I am beyond excited to see my daughter. I am working hard to figure out how to work safely during the pandemic in order to build a secure future for us both. I am grateful for any help that you may be able to provide, and I am praying hard for a better world.
