Maria’s Medical Recovery Fund

First and foremost i would like to thank everyone that has already reached out to help in any way, we are forever grateful. 

For those of you that don’t know the full story; On Thursday morning, August 30th our mom was taken to the emergency room due to a severe headache and vomiting she had been experiencing the night before. There they discovered blood in her brain and immediately airlifted her to the Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, TN where she then fell into a comatose state. Shortly after we were told she awoke from the coma and was in stable condition. They then preformed brain surgery to remove the blood and alleviate the pressure. The surgery went well but she continued to be on life support because she could not breath on her own through out the night. On Sunday we were ecstatic to find out they would be transferring her from ICU to a normal room where we could be with her all hours of the day. Tuesday she went in for surgery to remove a blood clot in her leg and to place a filter to prevent it from traveling to her lungs/heart. Everyday she is progressing. Now we’re just waiting for them to tell us when she will be able to come home.

The doctors are really amazed at how well she is doing. They said it’s a miracle. We don’t doubt that for a second, we know this is all by the grace of God. He had everything planned perfectly and this continues to be in his hands. Although we went through this horrible experience we are so thankful that she is alive and well. As her children all we want is to continue to help her through her recovery by removing some of the burden off her shoulders. One of the biggest burdens are the financial ones. So far my dad has been out of work for a week in order to take care of my mom. My mom wont be able to go back to work for at least 3 weeks, and when she does return it will be gradually. Despite having health insurance we will still need to pay a percentage and as you can imagine the medical bill just continues to accumulate. 

Many have asked how they could be of help during this time of need so this fundraiser was set up as a way to allow people to do just that.. Above all we ask that you will keep our mom in your prayers. For all of you who are able to contribute financially, please know that your generosity is greatly appreciated.
