Margie’s Battle

I am Shella Marie C. Oson, from Dimiao Bohol, Philippines. I am knocking on your generous hearts, asking for financial help for my dear mother, Margie C. Culango.

My mom was diagnosed last May 2019 with Ovarian Cancer Stage 3. She then underwent oophorectomy, the removal of ovaries and was then advised to undergo chemotherapy after. But due to our family's financial issues, we just decided to go on herbal medication for her. After a year, she experienced abdominal discomfort, swelling, and increased weight, only to find out she has Ascites, an abnormal build up of fluids in the abdomen. Because of pandemic, we weren't able to go back to her doctor in Cebu for suppose to be a following check-up.

Her condition got worse, depressingly she's already on her stage 4 of Ovarian Cancer. We rushed her to a hospital here in Bohol and on the ultrasound report, she needs to undergo paracentesis, an abdominal fluid removal procedure. Since then, we always go back to the hospital every two weeks or even less than that just to have that procedure. Paracentesis costs 11k to 15k. Sadly, we are running out of funds. I really wanted her to go on chemotherapy which will cost thousands of pesos again. Please help me by gathering funds for this sole purpose, to provide for my Mom's medication. Any amount will really do and I will always in awe for every help we receive especially in these trying times of our lives. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! God bless us all.
