Hi everyone, we are a group of Dutch students of the University of Utrecht. Each year we raise money for charity, and this year we are supporting the Oheda Foundation. This foundation has founded a project for organic farming in Cameroon. The profits of farming are used to support a maternity hospital and orphanage in the area. To ensure that the hospital and orphanage can stay in use, the foundation wants to expand the project. The farming land has already been acquired, but money is needed to purchase the pineapple seeds.
We are a group of six volunteers, and try to raise as much money as possible for the project in one year. We have organised a polar bear plunge, several game nights, and bake sales. During the next few months we will organize a benefit concert, a funfair and a whole lot more activities! So far we have raised 2200 euros, but we are hoping to reach the 3000 euro mark.
If we reach our goal, we will march from the trainstation in Utrecht to the trainstation in Amsterdam (42 kilometers). We will play instruments, juggle and dress in colorful costumes, to spread the joy throughout the country!
If you are able to donate, even a little bit, we would greatly appreciate it!
