Maranatha Church Building and Construction

Maranatha Family Church, Panabo is evidently growing by God’s grace. Undeniably, its needs are also rising. For five years, the church has been renting a commercial space amounting to PhP 5,000.00 on the first year then the latest has reached PhP 6,000.00. Since the church offering and church building rental offering could not suffice the stated amount, the host pastor has been sharing their personal financial support coming from the main church in Davao City in order to pay the monthly rental.

Despite this very challenging state of the church, it still envisions to have its own lot and building. Hence, the host pastor has sold their house and lot property in order to initially pay the 500 sqm. parcel of land located at Purok Caimito, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Panabo City. It is just meters away from the commercial building where the church is currently renting. A blessing indeed that the location is still within the heart of the city.

Half of the total amount has been paid already. There is still a need to pay another PhP 500,000.00 for the church to execute deed of sale and then the transfer of title. Full payment has to be made within five years. Grace extended by the owner is the zero interest. Currently, the survey has been made and temporary fence out of raw and indigenous materials are yet to be built.A parsonage shall be constructed as well, however, a budget of PhP 150,000.00 to house a couple and three children including their personal things, not to mention the church instruments which will be temporarily kept in, will not give them at least a comfortable place to be called their home.

Another faith-stretching journey will be the construction of the church building itself which still is in the prayers of the church members.

The church has expanded indeed from a 300 sqm. rented commercial space to a million worth of 500 sqm. parcel of land. There are yet a lot more to work out in order to put to completion the purchase of the lot including the construction of the parsonage, fence, and the church building.

As a church having a God who is faithful, we cannot retreat from this challenge that confronts us. This may be great, but our God is greater. Though we may be few and very limited in number, but many are the ways and limitless is the mind of the Lord. Thus, we will keep pressing on.

This is the reason why this website has been made—to find people who would journey with us in pressing on; who would partner with us in completing these big tasks; and who would bend their knees with us in praying with faith that can move mountain and heart that is expectant for His answers.

Should you be one of these people, it would be a great joy knowing that in this kind of battle our church is in, we are with soldiers who do not just make advancement but we are with comrades who, we believe, never let anyone be left behind. Their hands have been made ready for both war in faith and service for brotherhood. It is much for a blessing to have brothers in Christ Jesus, though not part of our local church but a family for eternity, who would cheerfully extend their help unto this work which is for the glory and honor of the Lord.
