Blessed Day,

May 2018, Ron and I was blessed again with another bundle of joy. With our surprise it not just one but double blessings because i am caring a twins. Alto and Bustamante family was very happy since this is the first twins in the family.

Unexpected incident happened the night of October 14, 2018 I was rushed in the hospital due to continues contraction and bleeding and my blood pressure was rising to 190/100. I prayed to God to protect my babies because i am in my 28 weeks and 5 days only of gestation. My OB try his best to stop my contraction but unfortunately it didn’t stop and bleeding continues. An emergency CS delivery was then taken into action the morning of October 15, 2018. After the operation me and my babies are safe but sadly the babies are in their pre-term delivery. Another sad news was informed to us in the afternoon of October 15, my mother-in-law who has cancer passed away. In just a day our family was so broken. So painful seeing our twins fighting for their lives and pain for the loss of my husband’s mother.

Both of them are so tiny and thin. They we’re rushed to NICU because both of them are fighting for their life to survive. Twin A whose name is Mara was born weighing only 755 grams while Twin B whose name is Mary was weighing only 810 grams. Both of them was diagnose with Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Their lungs are not mature enough. Their pediatrician told us that medication and hospitalization in this kind of pre-term babies are too expensive. They have to stay long to the hospital for medication and for full development.

As of the moment, Mara has already been discharged and was brought home while Mary is still in the hospital and continuously being monitored. We are still in need to raise a big fund for the hospitalization of Mary.

Me and my husband are both employed with a minimum salary wage. We cannot sustain the hospitalization and medication of the twins because we only have a minimal amount of savings. Any amount that you can donate will be of a great help for the twins medication. Help us to save their lives. God bless your good heart.
