Man v. Ghost Pilot

I am creating a 60 minute pilot for a paranormal reality show titled Man Versus Ghost. The show will be similar to other popular cable shows (e.g., Ghost Adventures, Kindred Spirits), in which a team investigates haunted locations. What will make Man Versus Ghost different from other paranormal investigation shows is the fact that it will only feature me, the host, with no camera crews or other team members to get in the way of the action. The pilot will take place at one of the premiere haunted locations in the U.S. (site to be determined), and I will use only state of the art equipment to capture paranormal evidence. I will go into the location alone, and investigate alone for 24 hours. Think Survivorman, with ghosts.

I envision the pilot to begin with a brief introduction of myself, and then move to a description of the history of the haunted location, why it is haunted, as well as any previously captured evidence (pictures, videos, EVPs, etc.). I will also feature interviews with those associated with the location (staff members, residents, etc.).This should take around 20-30 minutes. The remainder of the pilot will show the highlights of my 24-hour investigation. I plan to feature only the most well-known locations in the series (e.g. The Winchester Mystery House, Villisca Axe House, etc.).

The funds I raise will be spent in the following manner:

• Purchase transportation to and from the location
• Pay any reservation fees required to secure the location
• Purchase audio and video recording equipment
• Purchase electronic equipment specific to paranormal investigations, such as, but not limited to
  • Ovilus
  • Ghost Box
  • FLIR
  • Full-spectrum audio and video recording equipment
• Any other expenses directly related to filming the pilot episode.

Upon completion, I plan to shop the pilot to cable networks such as The Travel Channel and Destination America (among others), which currently feature several highly-rated paranormal television shows.

I am a 1991 graduate of The Citadel-The Military College of South Carolina (B.A. in psychology), a 1999 graduate of George Mason University (M.A. Psychology), and a 2010 graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College (A.A.S. Nursing). I am a published author of four horror stories. My debut novel Blood and Needles was released by Intrigue Publishing in 2017.

I also possess experience as a member of a paranormal investigation team, and have been an enthusiast of all things unknown since childhood.
