Mama Sally and Papa Totie’s Medical Fund

Fund raising for Mama Sally's hospital bill and Papa Totie's maintenance/therapy.

Good day everyone! I'd like to ask for your help and support for my mother Salvacion “Sally” Gonzalez, 69, a Unit Manager at Pru Life, to pay medical bills and maintenance for continued healing.

We rushed my mother to St Luke’s Medical Center due to severe stomach pain on the evening of January 9, 2017. Laboratory tests and whole abdomen ct scan were done and cholecystectomy (gallstones and gall bladder removal) and laparascopy was done to search for the gastrointestinal perforation that caused bloating of her stomach. After the surgery, her healing was progressive until hypertension occurred, followed by fever and pneumonia. Several medications were provided over the span of six days and it is expensive.

A day after her surgery, our father Isidoro “Totie” Gonzalez, 71, retired government employee, had an episode of mild stroke (ischemic stroke, it occurs when diseased or damaged cerebral arteries become blocked by the formation of a blood clot within the brain. Clinically referred to as cerebral thrombosis or cerebral infarction, this type of event is responsible for almost 50 percent of all strokes.) due to stress, which caused him to be confined for four days. He did recover faster than usual however, the damage was PhP156,800.00. We were able to get a discount from Philhealth and as a Senior Citizen giving us PhP103,000.00.

Today, our father is now home recuperating, though he still needs therapy to regain control on his right extremities and needs maintenance to prevent another episode. Our mother on the other hand is still confined and is being treated for pneumonia and hypertension.

We humbly ask for your support to finance the medical bill that shoots up to PhP500,000.00 and counting. Her Medicard wasn’t enough to cover the said confinement since she had several trips to the hospital last year.
