Hi, I'm Jen Ross the daughter of Marietta Pacquiao Dandan. I am writing this letter on her behalf as she is currently in the ICU and was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. It is a rare neurological disorder that occurs in about 1 - 2 cases per 100,000 people, wherein, the body's immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system - the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord. She is in the ICU since 31st Jan, 2020 and is required to stay until she completes all her treatment and requires a very strict compliance to prevent permanent nerve damage. Her first treatment to fight GBS is IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin), plus all other medications to rule out complications which cost us not less than 500k Php for just 7 days (excluding her hospital bill). Apart from this, rehabilitation and physiotherapy are also required for her to be able to recover. (God knows how long it will take) For the time being while all the treatment is ongoing, she will have to stay in the ICU until she regains her ability to breathe on her own after strict and thorough medications.

I am writing this with extreme desperation in our hearts for help. Me and my family are working hard to sustain all her needs for her recovery and everyday the bills are becoming so high that we're unable to bear such huge expenditure. If you could kindly support us financially in the time of our need, any amount would be of great help.

We earnestly need your help for my mother's recovery. Misses her so much already :(

Thank you so much and God bless us all.
