Mama Levy’s Cancer Treatment

My mother, Elivita R. Mantua spent most of her life taking care of us, her three children, and later took care of her eight grandkids. She had sacrificed so much for us, gave up on her dreams and never once complained. Her only happiness was seeing US happy.

She is now at an age when she is supposed to be relaxing and enjoying herself, puttering around her garden and spoiling her grandkids. Instead she is quietly battling cancer, still not complaining because she doesn't want us worried.

Just last week we found out that she has Breast Cancer and is also showing signs of Cervical Cancer. She will be needing aggressive treatment for both. Unfortunately for us, my sister was also diagnosed with Thyroid cancer the month before and even with her medical insurance, we still had to pool what resources we had to pay for medication that was not covered.

I am at my wits end, as I am the only one working now and my savings is depleted. All I want is to take care of her, my mother, the woman who gave me LIFE and all its wonder. Sometimes, she would make little jokes and small comments about how she had lived contentedly so far and that she have in fact outlived some of her siblings. I constantly reassure her that we will find a way through this, but I'm afraid she may have given up. If I can just show her that she does not have to worry about the finances, she may decide to fight and recover her will to live.

I love my mother, Mama Levy, with all my soul. Seeing her in pain and weak is like a knife to my heart. Please help me save her.
