Good day to our kind hearted friends here in fundme.com. It can be hard for us but this is the only option we have to extend the life of my beloved mother.

I am Mary Ann M. Abian, the daughter of Mrs. Gloria M. Abian, 53 years old from Marikina City who is currently admitted at Amang Rodriguez Medical Center (ARMC), intensice Care Unit in the same city.

My mother is diagnosed with Extrapontine Myelinosis, Acute Myocerdial Infarction, Hyponatremia secondary to Acute Urinary Retention, probably secondary to Glomerulonephritis and diabetes of morethan 20 years. She also developed hospital associated pnuemonia (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus) due to her long time confinement in the hospital.

Prior admission to ARMC she was admitted in St. Anthony Medical Center from November 6, 2018 to December 14, 2018, since I work there as a nurse. During her admission in our hospital, she underwent numerous test and procedures like cranial MRI, CT Scan, 2D Echo, series of Xrays and laboratories and ultrasound to properly diagnose her condition, help her treatment and monitor prognosis.

Aside from diagnostic procedures , she also received correction treatment such as blood transfusion and hemodialysis because she suffer from edema amongst other complications and decreased sensorium. My mother also has difficulty of breathing and she is supported with a mechanical ventilator. She had her throat opened for tracheostomy. Today, December 16, 2018 is her 46th day of confinement in hospital Intensive Care Unit.

With all the medicine she needs and procedures she underwent, her hospital bill reached to a staggering amount of 1.2 million. The amount increases as our fight for her and hospitalization continues.

My job as a nurse and help from my relatives and some friends only able cover a portion of our expenses and we struggle of provide the amount we need in every medical interventions my mother require since we also have our families to support although my mother's condition is on top of our priorities.

As we want to provide the best care and attention to my mother, we admitted her to a hospital we know able to provide her with complete care and service, but we did not expect that her admission will take this long. Having our broken hearts, we decided to finally transfer her to a public medical center. We think that this decision will able us extend our finances and capability in complying the medical requirement my mother need.

As our journey towards my mother's treatment continues, we are knocking at your hearts for support and assistance. We will continue to work hard together with your help to comply the medical treatment, intervention, and needs of my mother.

Through this dark days, we humbly submit ourselves and solicit for your help.

We thank you for any amount you will able to pledge.
