Mama Amy’s will to live

Mama Amy, 57 years old, a loving and caring mother is still in coma and was declared brain dead midnight of September 28, 2018. She’s been battling for her life for more than 7 years. She was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease year 2011 and started hemodialysis December the same year.

I am her daughter, Kate asking for help to support mom from her medical needs. We have been in this kind of situation for years and saving money is hard for us to do as we need to support her hemodialysis 3x in a week since then. She’s still in the ICU and it’s her third time. The first time was last year April then November of 2017 too. And this time is the hardest for us as we have to wait for her to wake up as per her Doctors’ advice.

Giving her up will never be in our decision. Life will be always in God’s hands so we are still fighting as how we fought for her life for years. I lost my dad 4 years ago due to cardiac arrest and I saw how mom stood up for us and made us even stronger though I know in my heart that it was the hardest for her. She showed us how important life is not only for the person himself or herself but to the people around her.

Mama Amy is really a strong woman, and I admire her so much. Year 1998 when she also had brain surgery due to brain tumor and she survived. She never let us worry too much.

Miracles CAN and DO happen. As long as we believe in God.
