Malawi Elderly, Women, Children and the Unemployed Covid-19 Relief Fund

Malawi is among the world's least-developed countries. The economy is heavily based in agriculture, with a largely rural population that is growing at a rapid rate. The Malawian government depends heavily on outside aid to meet development needs, although this need (and the aid offered) has decreased since 2000. The Malawian government faces challenges in building and expanding the economy, improving education, healthcare, environmental protection, and becoming financially independent amidst widespread unemployment. Since 2005, Malawi has developed several programs that focus on these issues, and the country's outlook appears to be improving, with a rise in the economy, education and healthcare seen in 2007 and 2008.

The Covid-19 Second wave since December 2020 which the number of infected people keep on rising day by day has put too much pressure on our already small hospitals. As the government is doing its role in curbing the spread of the virus. We are appealing to Malawi Citizens together with their friends and neighbors in the Diaspora for donations so that we can buy oxygen cylinders, oxygen gas itself, pressure regulators and covid-19 essential medicines that are critically needed in our hospitalsespecially for the vulnerable Women, children, elderly and the unemployed who have no source of income to afford the medication for the Covid-19 pandemic.
