Our dearest Papa Jorge, 89 years old; father, grandfather and great grandfather to-be, had difficulty breathing last 10 June around 1:30am and was rushed to the nearest hospital.
In the ER, he had a cardiac arrest and flat-lined for about one minute and was thankfully revived. From there, he was unconscious, intubated, and was sent for angiogram and Covid-19 tests. The angiogram test showed no indication for the need to have an angioplasty. However, since he was being tested for Covid-19, he was kept in MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) and no family members could see him until the results come out negative. The results came out on 11 Jun - 1030am (thankfully negative too) and he was then moved from MICU to CCU (Coronary Care Unit).
Currently, he is still in the CCU unit being closely monitored. Though not yet stable, he is now conscious and partially responsive. We are very thankful for his progress and praying that this will continue.
While we are grateful for the progress on his health condition, we are undeniably worried about the hospital bills that rise continuously - and fast. He is being kept in the CCU and his hospital bill has reached almost PHP 700k within 2 days and the doctor estimates that he will need to stay there to be monitored for about 1-2weeks.
We understand and are painfully aware that we are in the middle of a pandemic, and that you may be facing your own battles, but we are humbly seeking your help for Papa's continuous recovery. We will be eternally grateful for any form of support - prayers, kind words, or financial aid. We would also appreciate it if you can guide us and point us in the direction where we can get the aid we need.
Thank you very much and stay safe. May God bless us all.

15 June Update
Update posted by Janine Ting at 06:52 amOn 13 June, our papa was moved out of the CCU thankfully, though still staying in the hospital on oxygen support and receiving treatment but he is slowly showing signs of improvement. He has been experiencing a bit of swelling due to uric acid which is giving him a bit. . . . .
