Many of you have had the experience of taking care of a loved one who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Both of my parents suffered for many years until their bodies succumbed to AD's horrible effects. My mother passed away in June, 2013 and my father passed away in November, 2013. As heartbreaking as it was to lose both of my parents, I was relieved to know they were both whole again.

My campaign is centered around raising funds to make the adequate repairs to my home so I can live there again without feeling uncomfortable for company to pop by. I took care of my parents in my home for three years. During that time, carpeting and furniture was destroyed by numerous bodily fluid accidents. I did receive insurance money to replace the flooring, but chose to use the funds to purchase necessary medications and supervision for my parents while I attempted to hold down my full time teaching job.

Since my parents passed away, I have been living in a home with a concrete slab for a floor and folding chairs for seating. If I were faced with the same situation again, I would make the same decisions to take care of my parents. I dearly loved them and deeply miss them each and every day.

If I am able to raise the funds, I plan on installing flooring, repairing holes in walls, repainting, replacing doors. The holes in the walls, paint, and doors were damaged by my parents wheelchairs and walkers.

If you find it in your heart to be able to help me live again, I would greatly appreciate it.

May the Lord richly bless you!
