Make my dreams come true !

Introduction

My name is Inge Van der Vennet. I am 51 years old and I am currently living in Spain but was born in Belgium. After an abusive marriage I managed to get my life back on the rails. In 2015 I moved to Spain because I wanted to start all over again.

Career

I studied to be a teacher ( history, English and economics ) but that was not really what I wanted..Idid it to please my parents. In my first year of working I taught English to adults and I worked for the youth service at the Town Hall. This was only a contract for one year and then I managed to get a job in the private sector. For 12 years I worked for a paper company selling paper to printers. And then I stayed home for several years to take care of the children out ofmy ex husband’s first marriage. His daughter was anorexic and needed care 24/7. After being abused for several years I finally got the courage to end the marriage. I didn’t have a job at that moment but I managed to do odd jobs..i have been cleaning houses, taking care of kids, did the accounting of a lawyer friend, kept open a high rated hotel for a few weeks and so on. There is nothing I didn’t do to make a decent living.

When I moved to Spain I got a job als International Business Manager for a real estate company but because of Brexit they had to let people go. After that I started working as a translator ( English, French, German, Dutch ). This is what I still do now. Far from being my dream job but it pays the bills.

Motivation to use crowdfunding

Around the end of 2016 and during 2017, beginning of 2018 I was really not feeling at my best. I had to put my two dogs to sleep, 3 of my best friends died, I had some health issues …I was feeling as if my life was falling apart. I never had to deal with grief and all of a sudden I had to deal with the death of a few loved ones. I couldn’t cope anymore. I was confronted with the fact that life is short. I did so many things to please others and I lived the life others wanted me to live and I needed to change that. First I needed to deal with the grief and go on from there. And I am very happy to say that I did manage to be happy again. I also made the decision to go after what I want. I wanted to become a Life Coach and I wanted to write. I had some savings so I started making a plan..i was going to study to become a Life Coach and start my own business and I was going to write. I didn’t have any time left to do other jobs but i got around with my savings. But they will not last forever so I talked to a few good friends and one of them suggested that I tried to get the money through crowdfunding. So here I am.

Concrete Ideas

Let me tell you something about what I want to do.

1.I want to become a certified Life Coach. But first I have to finish my studies. I will be able to finish my course by the end of april next year if I get the opportunity to study a few hours every day. And when I finish the course, I can set up a website and a blog and start my own business.

2.I want to write an interactive cookery book. This is an idea that came to my mind a few weeks ago. When I was looking after my husband’s kids I was always struggling to give them food they liked but not spend too much time in the kitchen. I managed to put like around 65 recipes on paper. I would like to bundle them in a cookery book for busy mums. But I would like to give the people who buy the book the opportunity to change the recipes to their own taste. That’s why I want to call the book an Interactive cookery book. I want to make pictures of thedishes and I would like to make it in vintage style.

3.I have 3 ideas for other books. Those will be novels. I already have three stories I want to tell. They are based on my life but they will be romanticized.

What do I need ?

Putting my ideas into reality will be a full time job. I need money to tie me over for afew months, to invest in a few courses to become a Life Coach and to publish the cookery book.

I would like to be able to lend an amount between 60.000 and 75.000 euro.

It would mean the world to me to find someone who believes in me and who is willing to help me to achieve my dreams ! I would be forever grateful !
