Make Karla’s Dance Dreams Come True

I am a 23 year old classically trained ballet dancer currently residing in Baguio City, Philippines. I have completed my tertiary education in Industrial Engineering last June 2018 from Saint Louis University and I am planning to move to Manila to pursue my passion for dancing as a career.

I have been dancing/training in ballet for 12 years, while I was still completing my secondary and tertiary education, and also competing in national and international ballet competitions.

In reaching my goal, I would have to move to Manila where I can further expand my training and exposure to the art.

I have already been offered an apprenticeship in a well known ballet company and also have a summer scholarship for another dance school. I have still yet to decide which offer to take and am currently waiting for other offers from dance companies. But in the spirit of being prepared, I decided to set this fund raising campaign for me to be able to make my dance dreams come true. The accumulated funds will mostly cover living expenses, as well as food and transportation allowance, especially for the first few months of settling in. Pointe shoes, ballet shoes, and dance clothes doesn't come cheap either.

My family have already invested so much for my education, health and have been very supportive of my dancing through the years and I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me survive in Manila without my family's financial support.

I still have so much to tell about how I got here and there's so much more to learn in the world. Indulge me and help support my journey in the arts.
