literature journey

Hi,

First I want to tell you something about me. Well... my name is Jack, I am 18 year old and I am an apprentice working in IT Support. Nothing Special.

I am starting this fund raiser to someone special though. My girlfriend (Charlotte), She is a writer, or aspired to become should I say. She has an undying passion for literature and has wrote two books. At the moment she is writing an incredible fantasy / romantic book, she only writes it when she is happy, to get the best emotions and meaning out of her writing. I think its amazing. More to the point of the trip. She is also writing a journal her self, about where she goes, what she sees and her life experiences as a whole. This is one of her dreams and I can not afford to take her there, with out saving for a good 8-9 months. but I'm moving house not to far, but it means I am going to need a car and lots of my wage is going to disappear on petrol and other grown up payments, like my phone bill. UGH!!.

I want the best for her and this experience is going to set her up to become someone even greater then she is now. before she goes into university to study what she loves most.

I remember wishing that for just one morning, I could put my alarm clock through the same pain as it does me. I think it’s fair to say that I hate the initial shock of waking up. Who needs life when you can dream? I don’t exactly mean to sound like some kind of ‘Alice’ but I guess I’d pick my dream worlds over the one I’m in any day. My bed is my humble abode and that’s where I would like to remain, all snug beneath the sheets; dreams at my fingertips. But unfortunately for me, dreams aren’t always a reality. Feeling the familiar agitation of a Monday morning, I reached over to my alarm clock and dropped my hand heavily upon it- silence overlaying my bedroom.

My room is at the top of the house. Yes, the attic. But even though I live with adoptive parents, they aren’t as cruel as to fill it with creaky floorboards and spider webs that dangle from every corner. So I guess that I’m lucky to be able to wake up to the soft smell of Oakwood walls and gaze up through my skylight at the pastel coloured sunrise every morning. It’s the only thing stopping me from shuffling beneath my duvet and desperately trying to regain any sight of my sleep.

I no everyone says this about the one they love but she is one of a kind and I want everything for her. Thank you soo much.
