Our boy Duke needs our help!

Duke has lived for 3 years as a guard dog in an unsuitable environment devoid of any form of socialization, home or a family to care for him as he deserves. He is friendly towards humans, younger kids and other dogs, he’s just unaware of how to express his need for interaction and contact. Duke has the best of intentions, but his physique and vibrant character along with the poor management he experienced in the past have made him look uncontrollable.

He was adopted once but unfortunately he had to be returned within a week, as he is in need of quality time with his new family and of course training, so they can all live in harmony. After spending a month in an animal hotel, Duke is now at Dog Time Club training facility where he is learning to trust us. Though the time he has spent with his trainers is very little, he is already showing tremendous progress. However, the road is still long.

We attend his lessons along with a volunteer who would like to foster Duke and help him transition to a home when he is ready. The most important part of Duke’s training is having his guardian, temporary or not, trained as well, since this alone will guarantee a balanced and harmonious coexistence between them.

Since we started taking care of Duke, the expenses for his care have reached 1500€. We have created this fundraiser as our aim is to help Duke in a meaningful way; not to just abandon him locked up in a cage somewhere paying for his monthly stay until he is finally adopted or not.

Who Are We

Our animal rescue organization, Make It Pawsible, was founded in 2019 by active volunteers with years of experience and actions who came together because of their love and consideration for all creatures. Since 2013 the number of animals we have managed to help is in the triple digits not just in Attika but also in the more troublesome countryside.

Our team hopes to bring about a drastic change to the current situation in our country by taking care of the rescue, medical treatment and finding a proper home for our animal friends. Our actions vary. We foster and take care of stray animals while actively promoting their adoption. There have been times where we took in animals whose guardians gave them up like in Duke’s case.

Our aim is to find a dream home for every poor lonely soul living in uncertainty until the streets and cages are empty and our couches are full.
