Make Bloom The Flowers — Be kind to LIFE

My wife teaches poor rural children of ( 2 - 14 yrs. age ) in villages of Bankura and Birbhum districts of West Bengal , India , over Internet. While teaching we learnt that a large number of these children do not possess proper clothes or footwear, books, writing paper, sketching materials, leave alone study materials. Their parents are mostly labours working as farm hands or as assistants with small handicrafts makers.

Recently we paid a visit to the children in Bankura and Birbhum to hand over plain and warm clothes, shoes, toys, books, art materials that we collected from our friends, relatives.Our joy knew no bound to see such divine smile and happiness in their faces. Their parents too were full of gratitude and offered us innumerable blessings. We spend few days with them, arranged meals, basic medicines for them and exchanged views that were certainly revelations to city-bred people like us. Our daughter also joined in the exercise, teaching them different things, sharing the art of drawing and other aspects of fine arts that she is adept in. Those few days will remain etched in our memories for a long time.

Our small venture though insignificant compared to the need, gave us immense satisfaction. This experience compels us to urge upon you offer more helping hands and resources which can a long way in alleviating the condition of these children who will be encouraged to learn more and help fortify themselves for the future. Given your abilities and kindness with a keen sense to serve, we hope our experience will drive you and your team to provide the much needed assistance to these rural children. Your love, concerns and your helping hands will certainly enhance their cause and give them the necessary hope to enrich their lives.

We speak with conviction that if a family like ours with our modest means can bring smiles, a more sustained effort from you all can bring a wealth of change among these unfortunate sections of our society.
