As I am sure you are aware, on Sunday 10th April, Amy suffered with Scarlet Fever, which quickly led to what the doctors called "a catastrophic infection". For the past month, I know everyone has been filled with emotion and sending the most amazing, positive messages to my sister. She is finally on the mend, after being on a ventilator an NG tube, a blood filtration machine, biopsies, having a blood transfusion, a skin graft on the leg, shed loads of antibiotics and pain killers- all by the most amazing staff imaginable! What a scary time, but we are ever so thankful to have our Amy back... It won't be long until she is discharged and allowed to settle back into life at home again with Iain, Jack, her two doggies and her amazing friends and family (love you guys!).
After being in hospital for nearly 4 weeks, I'm sure you can imagine Amy won't be feelling her best, so I thought what better way than to give her something special, a treat. So instead of sending flowers, chocolates etc.... I thought we could raise some money between us to give Amy that special treat, and as she won't be able to travel too far, we thought we would bring the treat to her
Half of the money raised will help pay towards a mobile beautician and hair stylist to come and pamper Amy with every treatment imaginable- manicure, pedicure, massage, wax, hair done etc etc etc. The other half of the money will go to the amazing hospital, wherever they will accept our money! They have been so wonderful and have kept Amy alive! We want to show our gratitude for that!
