Make A Dream Come True; Birthday For A Cause

I’ve always wanted to help the less fortunate, especially the kids. I was once elected as the head of the youth in our barangay years ago (but not so long ago! Haha!) and since then, I’ve been always thinking and wanting to celebrate my birthday with less fortunate kids. But the question is, HOW? Where will I get the money? How will I organize it? How will I do it? I am just a student and I don't have the capability of doing so. I just told my self that when I start working already, I'll do it. It became a dream - one of my greatest dreams.

One afternoon, randomly, it just popped out of my mind - save up and have a birthday outreach. I thought of the possibility of doing it; I though of how much money I need, resources needed, man power, etc. I told my orgmate about this and asked for their help in preparing, they said yes. I also searched for a beneficiary that is accessible to our place and another orgmate suggested one. Man power, CHECK. Beneficiary (which is the DSWD Reception and Study Center for Children), CHECK. I am two steps closer in making my dream come true. And now, I already started saving up.

"DSWD Reception and Study Center for Children is a 24 hours residential facility that provides social work interventions to children 0 to 6 years old. It provides protection and rehabilitation services through temporary residential care to children who are neglected, dependent and abandoned, abused and exploited, and those with special needs such as children at risk and children who are in need of alternative family care."

I am celebrating my birthday next year (February) with 30 kids aged 3-6 years old. I am planning to not just give them a kids party but also give them school supplies, hygiene kits, slippers, toys and food supplies if the budget permits. These things will surely be beneficial to them.
