Make a Difference: Lend a Hand for a Future Doctor

Good Day, lovely reader! Please give me a few minutes and read my story. :)

My name is Ma. Isabel Rosales, I am 17 years old. I live in Negros Occidental, a province here in the Philippines. I live together with my younger sisters Claire, Angel and our grandmother, Nanay Bebing.

*These were their recent pictures when we visited our parents' grave for our Mom's birthday last March.*

We have been living without our parents for almost five years this coming May 5, 2020. Our mother, Marchie Rosales was a highschool teacher and our father, Filomeno (Jojo) Rosales was a seafarer, both of them died in a car accident.

Me and my sisters, my grandmother and my aunt, Feby were also involved in the accident. I broke my nose and had to stay in a hospital room together with my sister Angelica who also had minor injuries. My aunt also needed surgery because of a cut. Thankfully our grandmother only had minor scratches and bruises because she was awake before the accident happened.

My sister Claire on the other hand, was in a critical condition and needed operation as soon as possible because she had a blood clot on her brain. Thankfully, within two weeks she recovered and was allowed to go home. Right now, she is doing great and has also been an honor student in her school.

I am reaching out to you for I am in need of financial support for my studies. As of now we only depend on my father's pension (which is a small amount for the four of us) and also with the help of my aunt and uncles financially to help us get through the month occasionally.

I am currently studying as a Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student. If schools would still be resumed despite the crisis that we are facing right now, I will be an incoming Grade 12 student.

I am planning to take up Bachelor of Science in Nursing as my Pre-Med course and after that, I will continue my Med-School. Due to our financial status, I will also try to take exams for available scholarships. But as far as I know, government agencies right know do not prioritize to make BS Nursing students as their scholars. And that's the reason why I'm in need of your help.

Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of working in the medical field as a Nurse. My dad also told me that he wanted me to become a Doctor before the accident happened. And after all of that, I know I was destined to and God planned that I will become a Doctor and help other people who also needs me.

I know that my current strand (HUMSS) isn't really aligned with what I'm planning to pursue. But I am determined and eager to achieve my GOAL.

For now, I need to raise a fund to support my college fees, especially because I will be studying in another province on either a public or private university that accepts me.

I am dedicated to succeed in my studies in the next years of my life so that I can also support my younger sisters'studies especially Claire.

I will be needing the funds in the next 8 months or so. And it would be a huge help if you lend me a helping hand. I guarantee you that I will not waste the opportunity that you might give me. Your support would mean a lot to me and my family.
