Campaign Story
This is for Poker Pro Jason Cluxton, a former Pathfinder and Ranger in the United States Army, and Diplomatic Security Service contractor. I spent 7 years deployed in the war on terror and was medically retired.
As a Las Vegas Poker Pro, I typically played 5-6 days per week, earning a tournament cashing percentage of 38%, as opposed to the 15-20% of most pro tournament players. My venue of choice was normally the Aria, and many people that saw me in there at a final table started referring to me as "The King of the Aria."
I am fundraising for the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. This costly buy in, every year, is always more than I am willing to drop on one tournament. However, with your help, we can get there. It's a long time goal to be able to play in it, but with the huge fields, I could never justify trying.
I have a reason to play this year. I will be playing to donate 60% of the winnings between three charity organizations: Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Gallant Few, and Lead The Way Fund. I'm ultimately determined to gain 60% of the required buy in, but every bit helps.
We have until July 4th to raise the money to buy in to the tournament. All statistics involved in a player cashing in the Main Event are available online for verification purposes, with finishing place and amount won.
