Magdelena Klimasevskyte would like your support

My name is Magdelena, and I have always had a dream to be an artist. This year I graduated from the National M. K. Ciurlionis School of Arts and got accepted into Paris College of Art.

I understand that being an artist is not only creating art, but it is also bringing a message and providing people a visual or another kind of map to anything they need at the moment. The most beautiful thing about art is that you can gain from it what you need - emotion, adventure, inspiration, creativity, or even distraction. And no matter if you sometimes feel negative things, that's how it should be. I want to learn how to create art that brings up everything to the surface and serves humanity. That's why I want to continue my education journey.

When I found out about Paris College of Art, I fell in love with their perception of art and life, teaching methods and community building, as unity between individuals, different kinds of tastes, the idea to see the beauty in every detail in life and slowing down are my key values in life. I want to gain all the knowledge so later I could give back to the world as much as it gave to me.

Being the oldest of 3 younger brothers and 2 sisters made this decision very hard. Although I have received a scholarship and a loan, my studies cost 14,000 per year without living expenses and it is still financially difficult for my family. Currently, my mom and I started to create art together at home, and hopefully, this can turn out into a family business and the situation will improve. At the moment, my family cannot support these studies fully by themselves.

As I am all about sharing and gaining experiences, I volunteer in an international, not for profit organization, worked with nationwide

recognized art projects in my school, and I always dedicate my time to various activities to raise self-awareness and I am eager to stick with my passion no matter what.

As I believe in a strong human connection, I know that there are people who are willing to share, so we could all grow. The school year starts really soon, so all the support is really needed and appreciated.
