MAD’OP Humanitarium project to Madagascar

In Madagascar 2,000,000 of people are prevented from living a full and useful life, working, playing or going to school simply because they cannot afford an artificial limb or brace. We as students in the field of prosthetics and orthotics can help them by providing them with the care that they need and have been waiting for. Help us to fund our three-week trip in February 2017 and the material that we will bring with us.

WHO ARE WE? A class of 15 French and 2 Malagasy students. We will work alongside our teachers and hand in hand with the local professionals at the CAM Madagascar Fitting Center.

WHAT CAN WE DO? Assess disability make orthotic and prosthetic devices which are specific to each patient. Participate in the rehabilitation and relieve the discomfort and pain of people suffering from disabling diseases or limb loss.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR US? We need to cover our travel costs and material to take with us.
