MACW Animal Rescue Unit

Mpumalanga Animal Crime Watch is a Non Profit Company that operates in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Their main focus is the rescue of wildlife and domestic animals that are affected by illegal trapping through wire snares, urbanisation, exploitation and trafficking. They respond daily to call outs and tip offs from concerned members of the public to rescue animals that are injured, trapped or in danger. These situations usually require technical expertise and specialised equipment as injured animals are often trapped in difficult to reach places like tree tops, dense vegetation, holes, ledges, etc. Once rescued, they may be in need of emergency medical care. MACW works closely with animal shelters, vets and wildlife rehabilitation centres throughout Mpumalanga. Time is of the essence in an emergency rescue and being sufficiently equipped will enable them to save lives more effectively. No lives are too insignificant or too small to be saved.

By supporting this cause, you will assist them in acquiring an emergency rescue vehicle that is fully kitted out with the necessary equipment. If they reach this goal, they will also be able to equip their rescue staff with advanced animal first aid training and proper gear.
