Macky’s Medical Funding

Hi my name is Jennifer Navaja. On January 2016 at 2:00 a.m, my father Macky as how his friends call him had his first stroke. The doctors diagnosed him with Cerebrovascular Disease Infarct Left Lentiform and Caudate Nuclei, Coronary Artery Disease, Myocardial Infarction and Chronic Kidney Disease all of these due to Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 which was not diagnosed. That was also the first time he was hospitalized at the age of 57.

My father he may not have finished his education, but he and my mother did their very best to provide for us. He is an honest, loving and hardworking person. He provided for us through his talent in cooking and the arts. I call him my " Hero".

The stroke affected his speech and vision which make him unable to see clearly, but he was able to recover and was back to cooking again to earn a living. However, just this year March 5 at 4:00 am he had a major stroke same part of the brain was affected and this time half of his body has been paralyzed.

He even celebrated his 59th birthday in the hospital. The second hospitalization has taken a toll on us financially, hospital bills were mounting.Since he does not have medical insurance coverage, we had to borrow money from friends and relatives for the bills as well as medicines. Ask medical assistance from charitable organizations for the sake of saving our father. Thankfully, he was able to make it through. He's back home and continuing his physical therapy, so that he can fully recover. The second hospitalization leaves us a massive amount of debt and still paying for it, but that was fine as long as our father was saved. We thought that he will be doing better moving forward, but just recently November 14 he had a high fever and his right leg developed an edema with blisters.He also has difficulty breathing and his doctor advised that he needs to be hospitalized to fight the infection, aside from that he also needs to start hemodialysis due to the complications on his kidneys which was caused by his diabetes.

Right now, we are struggling to pay for his mounting hospitals bills and this has gotten to the point that I need all of your help. Now I am knocking on your kind hearts. Hopefully this fundraiser will help him out. I would like to thank those who have helped financially in the past. I really appreciate it. Thank you everyone.
