It takes a village to raise a child but that child will not survive without clean water-let's bring the village the water shall we! It was heart to see that 3.4 million people die each year due to the lack of lean water available to them, sadly most of them are children. One of every five deaths of children under the age of 5years mostly in Africa is due to a water related diseases. Close to 80% of illness in Africa is connected to poor water and sanitation issues. During our visit to Maboshe Memorial Centre -MMC operation sites, upon visiting in some rural/remote communities and schools in Western Province of Zambia in Southern Africa, we returned home with a clear understanding of the water struggle thousands face in rural/remote communities of Western Province in Zambia. We watched mothers bathing infants in dirty ponds, children from schools walking miles to the community watering hole and the rationing of water within the community. Since Maboshe Memorial Centre -MMC has a community water project called Maboshe Rural Water initiative Project which assist the community with clean water, sanitation and hygiene, this year we are going to dedicate our efforts in raising monies so we can sponsor the project in provinding easy access to fresh clean water for 3,000 rural/remote residents including schools in the communities. Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war, your donation will help change that.
